Follow These Basics for Staying Fit as a Senior

Are you wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle but aren’t quite sure where to start? You’ve come to the right place. The National Council on Aging has a great primer on the basics of staying fit as a senior.

They write that one of the keys to staying well as you get older is to “keep seniors moving.”

NCOA writes that experts recommends “moderate exercise for at least 30 minutes five days a week” and “muscle-strengthening activities for two or more days a week.”

Unfortunately, there is evidence that “less than one-third of Americans aged 65+ meet this recommendation.”
