For Seniors, Bicycling Pays Off In More Ways Than One

We have long known that bicycling can improve your heart health and strengthen muscles, but this form of exercise tends to do a lot more than that for older individuals.

According to an article in Bicycling magazine, a recent study shows that “when older adults cycle regularly, their happiness improves and they are better able to maintain their quality of life.”

Reflecting on the results of this study, a personal trainer noted that regular physical activity can help seniors maintain good health, improve their quality of life, and increase overall well-being. Additionally, bicycling can “enhance physical strength, flexibility, and endurance, making it easier to perform daily activities and maintain independence,” which are important as we age.
